November is the perfect time for family events and fun! Don’t forget that you can have family reunions at Mill House Lodge. Don’t have enough space at your house for everyone over the holidays? Suggest that family stay with us!

Downtown Hendersonville is the place to be for events during this season. Starting on Thanksgiving morning, the events keep rolling on until the new year.

Nov. 28.....Turkey Trot
This family 5k starts in front of City Hall on Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 and travels through downtown ending back at City Hall. The entry fee is $12 which includes a t-shirt.

Nov 29.....Holiday Street Lighting, sing along and Santa watch
The annual “Here Comes Santa Street Lighting” event takes place at the Historic Courthouse. Kick off the season with live music, hot drinks, delicious treats, shopping and a countdown as Santa arrives to light up Downtown. Plus, enjoy free visits with Santa and carriage rides after the lights are turned on! This event will end by 8pm.

Nov 30.....Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday is a great opportunity to support local merchants at the outset of the holiday season! Find specials and treats at many of the downtown merchants.

Dec 7.....Olde Fashioned Christmas and Christmas parade
Come experience an Old Fashioned Christmas in Historic Downtown Hendersonville! Merchants host an open house with refreshments, entertainment, and late night shopping.

Dec 14 -Jan 4....Iceless Skating Rink
Lace up your skates and take to the Iceless Skating Rink, made of special polymers, located at the Visitor Center at 201 South Main St. The larger new and improved rink is faster and easier gliding with 2 curling lanes available.
Dec 20 – 22.....Main Street Holiday Hayrides
Take a magical hayride through Historic Downtown Hendersonville among its twinkling lights and festive decorations. Board the tractor-drawn wagon ride at the Visitor Center. First-come, first-served

Dec 31.....New Years Eve Apple Rise

The New Year’s Eve Apple Rise is the Annual New Year’s Eve celebration at the Historic Courthouse, which includes a family celebration at 6pm with a countdown to the Greenwich Mean Time (London) midnight (7pm local time). Starting at 11pm is the official Apple Rise ceremony, which leads up to the local midnight New Year celebration. Noisemakers, glow sticks and hot beverages will be given out while supplies last, plus a DJ will play the top hits of 2019, and warming stations, corn hole and giant Jenga games will be available to help to pass the hour.
