That time of the year is finally back! The Apple Festival kicks off this Friday, September 1 in Downtown Hendersonville! The strip of Main Street will be filled with the smells of funnel cakes, candy/caramel apples and yummy treats alike. The festival, which has taken place for over 60 years, is a Hendersonville staple. Local orchards have the opportunity to showcase some of their apples, which visitors can purchase by the bushel. This festival showcases one of Hendersonville’s most successful plentiful crops and allows our community to share their ‘apple pride’ with locals and visitors alike! Complete with live music, local craft-makers, children’s inflatables, delicious food and activities for kids this festival is Labor Day Weekend’s can’t miss event! This event if free to attend and enjoy, but make sure to bring a few bucks, those candy apples are hard to resist. After you enjoy a morning at the Apple Festival think about heading out to a local orchard to see where our apples are grown and take part in a ‘you pick’ activity.
